On May 21, 2025, the Mission team met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Vietnam and the
Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States at a luncheon hosted by DPAA. Execu琀椀ve Director,
Dave Hu昀昀man, presented the Vietnamese delega琀椀on with a captured Viet Cong ba琀琀le 昀氀ag and
the suspected loca琀椀on of 22 dead Vietnamese martyrs. The informa琀椀on on the Vietnamese
soldiers was provided by our partner organiza琀椀on, Healing Through History. We stressed the
need for ar琀椀fact exchanges as part of our Opera琀椀on: H.E.A.R.T. program.
On Memorial Day 2025, Mission member Karin Steadman, MIA daughter of Captain James
Steadman USAF 26 November 1971 Laos, and Healing Through History representa琀椀ve Joseph
Morta琀椀 presented the Mission: POW-MIA wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
